May 6, 2008 - COON JAB!!!

Hey Fam!! Hey how is everyone? Did everyone have a good week? Sounds like yall had some good Family activities and some world wide activities.. wow dad, 4 different contenents in like 2 months... Thats pretty high roller if you ask me!! So how is everything and everyone at Work doin? I´ve tryin to write steve a letter lately, I found a cool little story on Mediocrity, and it had a story about his dad in it, so i figured i´d send him a copy and say hi (I´m sure he´s seen it but whatev) Man our little Family is growing like a weed... Big and Fast!! Sholb, falicitaciones.. Lexis a Babe!! no pun intended! I´m Glad that everything went well with the birth!! So what day exactly was she born on? Well Yeah, this week was pretty busy with work.. we only left to wrk in our area for like 7 hours the whole week! Its all good though! Today we had a ROAD TRIP!! It was awesome! We had to go out to compo like three hours away just to sign some papers, and the Pres. told us that we could all go... IT was a blast! I´m sure you´ll be getting some pic, maybe even videos. But yeah we went out to this place called Lobos, where theres a huge lake ( Tommy Lee Jones has a house on it) and we made some other stops before we met up with some of the elders from Compo and played some ultimate frisby and ate ice cream!! It was a good time but we just got back from Fun to a ehole lot a work!! The work is going alright, but like I said, we havent really been working alot! Hugo is already excited to get the priesthood this Sunday, we also talked abunch to his old girlfriend, and just recently ran into the missionaries in her area and has a baptismal date... so I guess you never really know where your planting the seed! I love hearing about the Kids... I so wish I could see Kali shakin her thing in the dance recital! somebody better take that and send it to me!!or else!! no but yeah, next sunday I should be calling around 8 or 9ish, thats usually about when you guys finish with your sunday dinner any ways so i figured it would all work out!! Well, we only got a little bit of time to write today and i already have to go, so i think the are givving us permission to write tomorrow too. So maybe I´ll send something tomorrow or maybe just on sunday! Les quiero mucho, gracias por ser una familia tan buena y por apoyarme siempre!! Hey Fam!!
Hey who ya´ll doin? Well it sounds like everyone has had a crasy normal week! ah.. sorry for starting all of these emails out the same! I´ll try and think of something creative to start with! Well maybe I can start with my lunch yesterday! Well there are some couple missionaries here from California. Elder Rawson is north american and his wife is costa rican-mexican. Really nicec couple, but one of the privilages of being in the offices is we get to eat luch with them every now and then! Man, yesterday she made the best mexican food I have every had in my LIFE! It was like the famous ¨My little Ranch¨ mi ranchito times ten!!! but remember the song beans beans the magical fruit... well all ate alot, so you can only imagine trying to go to bed last night in a room with for missionaries!! the bad part is is that i´m on the top Bunk!! Thanks for all of the emails i got this week.. sorry if i´m not very good at writing back but I love reading you mail, no matter where they come from... kentucky, florida, thailand, steele road... they´re all awesome!!! no se preocupen laurel and janet and pregnet sister, buisy family and everyone will be in my prayers!! This week was really good! Hugo has been telling us the blessings he´s seen in his life ever sence his baptism, is paying tithing, already has a calling, has friends in the church(mom) and is inviting alot of his friends to listen to us!! Its really different working in a huge city like this! yeah its hard to do contacts and teach 8 or 9 lesson in a day or find 10 new investigators, but here we get alot more support from the members and alot more references and really good people to teach! which is awesome, elder bednard said that the missionaries are the full time teachers, and the members are the full time searchers! But yeah, the works goin pretty good down here, and yeah I´m starting to get used to my job here. There´s ups and downs though, like I´m always with the assistents or the president where you can learn alot, but there´s not a whole lot of time to study and stuff like that!! Hey thanks for asking dude man about my shoes.. so i use a size 43, model Berlin, color brown.. thanks for all that! my comp who is in charge of shipping says that anything that ends up in the airport, we have to pay to get it out, and its usually in the hundereds... he said his mom sent shoes through US postal service, with the shoe box, and maybe some photos and candy and letters... maybe!! If you have more questions about that just ask me! if you don´t feel safe about sending them, just do what your gut tells you!!! Hey I got a letter from ty empey, he´s doin awesome. He´s getting transfered to Ceder City, but met a kid that was serving here that went home about 4 months ago, elder jensen! i guess its not that cool, the world is small thats all! So it sounds like you guys had an awesome trip to Florida!! did you take any pictures? hint hint!! Its funny to how dad explains thailand because its the exact same down here, humid, dirty, lots of people, smells funny, run down buildings everywhere and alot of DOGS! but its funny how you grow to love all the little dumb things argentines do!! One year down...

hey Fam...how ya all doin? hey thanks for the feliz dia de loma, man it is kinda crazy that a whole year has already past. But I hear that the second year flies by aton faster than the first so I better take advantage of it! Hey how was the trip to Florida? It sound like you guys all had an awesome time! How ole gramsy doin down there? did you guys take picture? yeah yeah i already know you guys took pics but that was just a hint to send me some... Like I told mike i´m starting to forget what you all look like!! Down here has been pretty good, I´ve been working alone, with uot the trainer, for a week now and so far so good! Hey, did i ever tell you guys i drive down here! Dad, remember when we went to thailand, the three lane highways made into 6 lane high ways...... its like that here too! it awesome, they have the biggest free-for-all intersections in the world here!(all yellow lights) whoever has the most guts wins!! But yeah everything here in the offices is goin good. The one thing that bothers me is i hardly have time to study, pero egual i´m learning alot just, just being with the pres. more, living with the asistents, you bound to learn somethin everyday! im learning computer stuff too which will be good. Hey, I say Cameron leeper from good ole orem high This week. He´s doin really good! he said that toms spanish was really good when he left the MTC... but yeah, Hugos doin good, he was alittle worried about the whole tithing thing before he got baptized, but last sunday he was way excited to pay it!!Hey what goin on with all my friends! Man everyones gonna be married by the time i get back! I guess thats life though! Its just gonna be a little wierd when i get back, my friends will have to ask their wives to go out and play!Well fam, I hop everything is goin well and that yall have an awesome week! April 8. 2008 - your tellin me you had two gloves the entire time!

(here are some photos of the new comp and and a little fhe activity with some recent converts)howday all! I thought i´d try and start my letters off with a funny movie quote just to break the ice with yall! So how did the week go by for yall? Mine went by really well! fast but Good! seing as how i´m getting a six week training in three, we had a couple of long days where we were in the offices ALL day long! usually we are in the offices until 4-5ish, and then have about four hours of prosyliting! but after i get the hang of things we should beable to get out of on time to beable to get some good work time in! The conference was awesome wasn´t it!?! The deal was here is that you had to take an investigator to the session to beable to go! well we got 4 out of 5... seing as how everybody here is rich and we are only in the streets for acouple hour we did pretty good! That was the first time i´ve ever missed the priesthood session! yeah kinda made me mad but what can ya do! On tuesday we went to a lession with this guy named Hugo, who was a reference from his sister. well we have taught him a couple time and he´s gone to church acouple of times and he was progressing really well! well we went were having an awesome lesson, its like i was just sitting there and someone else was just talking right through me! but yeah, we pulled out a baptisimal date for this saturday actually! he´s like 28. He went to the morning session on sunday and said he really enjoyed. it was kindof hard to tell if he really did though! he then had to leave to go work and wasn´t going to beable to see the second session! Well right about 5 minutes befaore the next session he came walking up! he said his boss called in and told him he didn´t have to work, so he thought he´d come and see what else they had to say! (an answer to someones prayers!) There were awesome talks in all of them, but this session was really good, and talked alot about the families ! after wards he said that this is were he wants his future family! here in this church! now that might not be so exciting to you guys, but to a missionaries ears thats MONEY! So all in all it was a pretty good week! Well, it sound like you guys are all doin good and hve the next little bit all planned out for ya with florida and stuff! I hope it all goes good for ya! dad, thats cool the lazer deal worked out for ya! I´ll probably be needing it with all the reading and computer stuff i´ve been doing! but yeah... ¿eh como estan todos?Hey how was everybodies week? it sounds like its been pretty good! Mines been alittle crazy.. well.. yeah, my area is in ramos mejia, which is more twords the capitol, with huge houses everywhere.. but there´s also the most dangerous area in Argentina in my area too.. we cant go in there!! yesterday, we got out of the offices pretty late and started heading twordsan appointement, and we had to pass by this neighborhood right, so everything was fine, we were about a block away from our appointment, and 3 kids about 20 years old just asked us for money. But thats normal here, i´ve been asked a hundred times for money here! but the only thing different this time was a knife the size off my leg!!!luckly we got out of there with only a black eye and scratch.. April fools!! no, there really is the most dangerous neighborhood of Argentina in our area, but we´re not alowed to even get close to it... I don´t know if you guys have heard but there are also a bunch of riots, all of the farmers stopped sending meat and chicken and stuff like that because they aren´t getting enough money so they´ve been causing a lot of hastle!so to answer you questions: 1) As secretary, I´m pretty much incharge of all of the numbers of the missionaries, like of their work,all of there info. all of the new missionaries and missionaries leaving, the mission cars (yeah im drive down here in this crazy town) all of the computeres, the mission magazine, the mission baptisms.. and about 20 more things!!
2) Two missionaries got here a little early and were changes.. so one noght they just called and told me I would be the new Secretario!
3)Elder Avery-Lava Hot Springs, Elder Jeppson- sandy utah..
4) elder avery is just traing me for 3 weeks then i will take over! Thats way we are in a threesom!
alright i think i answered them all!! So we´ve been working alot here, and i still have a ton to learn! I´m living with the AP´s and talk to the Pres. almost every day so I´m sure i´ll learn a ton from them too!
So I´m glad you guys are liken the new CAR... man and laser eye surgery! you guys must be rollin in it! haha, no i´m sure that will help you alot.. I think my eyes are starting to go bad too!! its probably because i´m not used to reading soo much!!Well I love you all and hope you all have an awesome week!!kyle steele

woo hoo,,how ya all doin?! well from that letter it sounds like your all doin really well! I´m guesing that you all had a wonderfull easter at grandma and grandpas.. so were there any new faces their.. did scott or blake take a honey? I think i can see blake getting married pretty fast! Man... mom and dad, it sounds like you guys are livin the life! Goin to the Jazz game (how they doin by the way) buyin new cars, traveling europe! You guys are goin crazy...haha! Thats cool though, so hows the new car? give me a little description of it, or just send a pic! Everything down here is, well is a little different! Here they had the santa semana, where they got thursday friday saturday sunday and monday off. But yeah.. its funny how so many people in this world focus so much on a dead christ, rather than a living christ..... there were chocolate eggs and stuff like that but it still just wasn´t the same!! Well mom... I guess i´ll be learning with on how to be tech literate... We had whats called a flash! I recieved a call one night from the asistants right before i went to bed. They told me that there was some changes in something and that i had to leave in two days to be the new secretary to the mission presidant! what a change no! I just had to leave my area, companion, the 2 baptismal dates and everything to come here in the big city to work! ]Usually they have a one transfer training.. but its all kinda in a rush so i´ll have half the time to learn how to do whatever it is that i´ll be doing! It was all really sudden but i{m sure i´ll learn alot. Now i´ll be in offices until 4 every day and then go out to work! i´ll also be the secretary to the new mission presidant that will be comming in.. crazy huh... i would have never known.. my new comps are elder Avery and jepson.. from lava hot springs.. well , they are already kinda keepin me busy so i dont have alot of time, yeah, even on my pday.. but i´ll write more in a bit..well, thanks for every thing, i love you all tonz... thanks for the fotos kodi and yeah... your all in my prayers hasta la proxima!!kyle

March 18, 2008 St. Patty's

Hey whats up Fam?! Wait.,.. is today St. Patricks Day? I dont think anybody down here has ever even heard of that! thats crzy, well another week down in argentina has flown by, time goes by so fast when you keep buisy! this week was a roller coster though... its like we´ll have baptismal dates and really awesome people we´re working with, people who are going with us to see a baptism of other missionaries, and then all of the suddon with in 2 hours no one wants to talk to you! We went to a conference with a bunch of the missionaries, i really learned alot.. we talked about the expiacion de Jesucristo, I don´t think i´ll ever understand all of it but it helped me realize the importance to be a better person and show more patience and love for others! Those were sweet pics dad.. man your lucky, that must have been such an awesome expirience to travel all through europe! but believe me, I know how those Austriens can be, I had that chich water polo coach who was like arnald swartsaneger, and she yelled alot! Well so what else is new? Have any idea yet on when yall are goin to florida? when ya go make sure ya give grandma a big huge for me! hey, every transfer we get a letter to the mission type thing and it has pictures of the missionaries who are comming and leaving, and cameron leeper is going to be getting here in a couple weeks. he was toms age and played football at orem with us! he´s a good kid, it should be cool to see someone from home! So is there anything else goin on, anyone new getting home or leaving on the mish, anyone getting married or having babies? is nichole still dating travis Barney, thats just funny to me! Hey, I think that was the first letter i got where you didn´t tell me what you guys ate for dinner! So hows the house goin, are ya starting on the front room yet, the ¨summer project¨ I´ll tell ya what be thankfull for what ya got.. no that house we built didnt have cement or anything, just over abunch of dirt and weeds, and I saw some masive spiders in there too, their like little mice runnin around! March 1,. 2008 Construction

heyhey.. whats up everybody!!! hey how is everybody doin?? it sounds like everyone had an alright week up North!! pero bueno, anything new goin on.. Hows the weather up there? still pretty cold or is it warmin up? its starting to cool down down here, i even got my first cold of the season.... how exciting no?! well sorry my letters have been alittle lame lately, and haven´t really writen anyone else, it seems like every time i try and send something this web site goes all funny!! did you guys get the email last week? I can´t remeber what it said but i´m sure it was good! Jason congrats on winning that beltbuckle from that sweet rope n´ride action.. looks like you´ve got some good practice for when Jake gets out of hand!! Well everything is good down here! this week was kind of crazy and long but its all good! hey, I´ve even been putting my framing skills to use down here! we built a house in... hold your horses.. 5 hours!! ha, there was a family who was actually livin in the church who had moved from about 4 hours away! well one morning the bishop called us and asked us to help them move into there new house! so we went, but what we didn´t know is that we were goin to help them BUILD there new house! so we were in the middle of a huge field with a put it together yourself house!! it was about 4 walls and a roof with metal sheets over it, and the only tools we had was one hammer and a bunch of nails!! It was sad because i´ve made better treeforts in the back yard before, but we did what we could with what we had... that whole day was kinda crazy, but at least its good to know that we helped someone out a little bit! The work here is still goin alright! we are still finding alot of people! on saturday, we found 4 new family´s to teach.. butt the thing is is not a single one of them are married, or want to.. they all say it just makes things harder, se we´ve taught alot lessons on the law of chastity.. but its all good, there´s got to be some one here who is ready and waiting for us!! We have also been wrking with alots of families who are´nt all members, its been a pretty good week of teaching! well, everything else has just been great down here! Thats crazy that you guys found out who our next mission president is before we did, i still havent heard a thing about him, tell me more if you can! Mom, its good to hear that your friends are feeling better! and dad, I hope Kevin keeps his clothes on!! I love you all and cant wait to hear from yall!!

Hey Fam!!!
hows everybody doin?? well first off, sorry i dint write yesterday.. I was in the hospitle over night! sike, no our P Day´s have changed to tuesday! Crazy huh?! I have no clue why but it has, so you won´t be getting a letter from me until tuesday´s from now on!!Well it sounded like everybody had a pretty good week, and ya´ll had a good stake conference! Wow, I cant believe that all these people are getting back home already! I really did leave late didn´t I! But i guess late is better than never! Tell everyone I said hello! I actually just send a letter to you guys for the Littles and The Andersons! with some pics too!!
Well this week down here was chill... a little too chill, I didn´t like it! I was really rainy all week so it was alot harder to teach people! and its crazy too, because whenever there´s rain, hardly anyone goes to church! I think there was like 25 people there this week, and none of our investigators came tampoco! But yeah We have investigators who are comin along, its just hard because alot of them have been smoking their whole life are living with the novio or there is always something wrong!!
On the other hand, remember those socks that were worn out, well my nice 150 dollar ecos are starting to look like them! I´m pretty sure there was a two year warenty on them, so i might send them back one by one and get a new, nice pair of ecos for when i get back... but i´m not sure, would someone wanna look into that for me?!
No new cow parts this week.... I know i Know, you were all so excited to here about what else i tried, katie asked if ive eaten bull testicals yet, but no, i haven´t had the privilage!! A man did offer us qwees, its like a big rat! but i passed on that one! but everything else down here is just fine! we just had transfers but me and my refuerzo are staying here in Marcos Paz. which I happy about because there are a lot of good people here to talk to, some times its just a little hard to find them! thats one thing i´ve been praying alot for lately is to have more faith! but thats about the scoop down here!! I hope everything is goin well and you all have an awesome week! I love you all so much, and know that with out this gosple it would be about 500 times harder to find that love that we have!! thanks for everything!

Hola familia!!hey!!! como esta familia.. no se porque estan diciendo que mi castillano y ingles estan mexclando... hablo egual! but whats up.. it sound like you guys all had an awesome time up at the cabin... i would love the snow right about now.. its hasnt been that hot, its actually been raining alot, but i´d still love some snow!! yeah the letter from kristen last week was pretty funny, but yeah... (buy the bedé) hey I wrote a letter for the little family, i just need to get off my nalgas(bumb cheeks) and send it!! but if ya see them tell em whats up! Well here this week was alright, it went by really fast, but yeah, mike wrote me i reminded me that i´ve been in the mish 10 months now.. crazy huh, seems short but long at the same time.. kinda crazy! (buy the bedé) That sounds like a cool trip you guys got planned out to Florida, right through spring break!! good thing mike, the only single, one wont be goin to the beach with yall... but im sure he´d have a ball there! And Dad, you might as well travel the rest of the world while you at it.. Man it sounds like you guys are gonna have a good time workin or playin, what ever you´ll be doin out there! The wierd food of the week, Cow Lips!! who does that, who eats cow lips for dinner! Man, they eat every single part of the cow here!(buy the bedé) But its alright, now i can say I´ve eatin lips, stomach, intestines..etc of a cow!! makes for good stories! Well the work is still goin alright, we have another baptismal date, but we´ll see, the last one we had was with a sixteen yearold who found out she was pregnet the day after her baptismal date!! But we´re still teachin alot, it makes me really curious t o how the mission is in the states...(buy a bedé) right now i dont even know if i´d beable to do a contact in inglish!! Mom, dont even sweat it about the compass deal... I´m posative you´ll do awesome! But what you could do is just look at the sun like those dang old indians, thats how i do it down here! ha no, you´ll do awesome!! yoyo sup yall...Well hows everyone doin? I´m doin just dandy thanks, just chillin down here in good air doin my thing!! So how was the whole cabin trip?? man I would love snow right about now! ha Kristen thanks for the Email and all of the little commentaries... they make me laugh pretty good!(the icecream here is pretty good too) I´m glad you guys had a good Valentines day, i totaly spaced it.. its not like i have a valentine or anything but still!! pero bueno, estoy pensando en lo que yo podria decirles.......Oh, Tuvimos.. or we had the opportunity to go listen to Elder Richard hinkley talk to us in the capital.. it was way good, He talked a little about his dad and how he woke up every morning at 5:30 and was still enduring to the end! he also talked alot on how we need to be happy and stuff like that, it was cool!oh.. on the other hand of things... I have the best suggestion in the world dad, I cant remember if you guys were planning on re-doing a bathroom, but if you do, put a badé in it,(the bumb cleaner) by far the best invention ever.. I haven´t used toilet paper in months! just think of this... If ya get a little somethin on your hand, are you gonna wipe it off or wash it off? wash it for sure! Somethin else about argentina, there´s always somethin dead in the streets.. lets see, this week i saw threee dead dogs, a couple dead snake and about a dozen dead frogs!! once i even saw two frogs with their legs tied together hanging from a telephone wire.. the kids are terrible! Well everything else is goin just fine down here.... We are still finding a ton of new people to teach and stuff, its just really hard to get anyone to go to church down here!!
